This is Chris sleeping. It’s almost 6 pm.

I’ve decided I’d take up Tumblr’s originally intended format(as opposed to my normal long format). It’s too much work to do anything else.

Good Weekend

This was a good weekend. It seems as though, as I get closer and closer to the summer, weekends gradually get better. Perhaps it’s the fact that so much relief from an extremely stressful school year is coming up. Or perhaps, I’ve just come to the realization that I really only do stuff if there’s personal gratification in it for me. I dunno.

I’ll start with Friday. I waited for shipping updates on my new, portable USB turntable. I’ve got a few records and hadn’t had a turntable until now, so I was pretty anxious to get it. I finally got one, and it was in Avenel, NJ. That’s about an hour away, so it’d probably take another day to arrive when one takes other packages into account. After I finally got an update, I went to band practice with my buddy/vocalist, Chris.

We’re looking for a bassist right now, so if you’re in highschool, like hardcore punk, and live in the Central Jersey area, please play for us(this isn’t very likely to attract any attention because most of the people that read this are my friends already or from other places). Chris wasn’t feeling too good, so he left to get food and we mainly worked on instrumentals.

After that, me and Sebastian walked around in matching camo raincoats and ended up meeting my girlfriend, Alexis, at Applebee’s. We had appetizers and accidentally got my girlfriend’s brothers upset. Whatever, I got to see my girlfriend, and had some free food. Seb paid for my drink. He’s an awesome guy. After that, my parents and I drove Alexis home and we went home.

The next morning was an awesome day. I was supposed to go to a show, but I didn’t. Family think came up, and then Chris came to my house and fell asleep. It was alright, though. I love both my family and Chris, so it’s all good. My turntable finally got here, and I couldn’t have gotten it any sooner since I plan on getting a few records in the coming weeks.

After my turntable came, I saw Up with Alexis. This movie was amazing. I cried three times within the first 40 minutes of it. It’s so awesome and imaginative. It’s definitely a must see for anyone that likes stuff from the ’30s/’40s because it’s definitely got that some of that in there, but it’s mostly great fantasy stuff. It was amazing. I’ve never cried that much for a movie in my entire life.

When the movie ended, we walked to Dunkin’ Donuts and had some sandwiches and shared a strawberry milk. Despite the fact that Alexis said all was fine, I have a feeling that she was disgusted with my eating. I’ll try to be less of a slob when I eat. Upon the arrival of my parents, we got in the car and talked about stuff. It was cool. Alexis and I later watched Clerks together over the internet, an activity that Alexis and I frequent together.

Today was great. Possibly the best, even though everything didn’t go according to plan. Alexis came over in the afternoon and we swam in my pool. After that we jammed in my bedroom. It was a lot of fun. Then Chris, Sebastian, and I were supposed to go to a show, but we were still sorting things out with our rides up until Sebastian came to my house to pick me up and bring me to New Brunswick, so Chris ended up not going. It was a pretty fun show. I got two records out of it: Lighten Up’s Absolutely Not LP, and Seasick’s Ennui. Good stuff.

Bicycle Rides.

I’d intended to type up a huge post detailing my ride from my home to Chris’, but I’m too tired.
